Recently I've been using Last.fm, a social networking site for music nerds. It's pretty fun to check out what you have been listening to over the course of the week via their update charts that they send you. I was drawing the other day and listening to some records and I decided to compile my own list of bands I have been listening to lately, some on pretty heavy rotation. Hello Coral...
I have been getting ready for my show next month at the Park Life Gallery in San Francisco which will open on Friday July 18th. It's a two person show with Holly Williams, a great painter from LA (I think) So this means two things. One I will be in San Francisco from the 13th to the 22nd with Kylie and we willbe at the opening so please come out and say hello. Secondly, I will be putting a bunch of new works on the site on the next few weeks, with an on-line store hopefully sometime in July.
This is a study for one of my new paintings, I seem to have been listening to more reggae than ever before now that the weather has been nice. Also the Feelies, Any Trouble, Spaceman 3 and the new Fleet Foxes record. Check out Last.fm for more info and some playlists!
